Rates of Pay: $7.50 to $10.00 per hour
Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge and experience in recreation programming or experience in music, performing arts, and arts and crafts is desired.
Certification by American Red Cross in Basic First Aid and Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or American Heart Association CPR or ability to obtain such certification is required.
Essential Functions: Under direction; develop, implement and supervise recreation activities and programs for elementary school age children on an individual park, and to perform related work for the Summer Recreation Program in the parks.
Plans and develops summer park program; prepares program submittal, evaluations, reports and keeps records; requisitions equipment, materials and supplies; coordinates use of facilities; publicizes activities and programs; supervises programs at satellite parks, and related facilities; provides direct program leadership; ensures appropriate maintenance, security, and safety of recreation facilities and participants.
Criminal History Check: Successful applicant must pass background check.
Driver License Report (MVR): Driver License Report (MVR) will be obtained by the Human Resources Division if applicable.
