Rate of Pay:
Step 1 Year 1 -- $8.25 per hour
Step 2 Year 2 -- $8.50 per hour
Step 3 Year 3 -- $8.75 per hour
Requirements: Must be a Certified Red Cross or pending certification.

WSI Aid -- $8.25 per hour
Requirements: Must have a current Red Cross Water Safety Instructor and or WSI Aid certification.

Requirements: Must be a Certified Red Cross Lifeguard.
Essential Functions: Works under the direction and supervision of the Swimming Pool Manager. Is responsible for the safety of patrons at the facility and is responsible to provide information pertaining to water quality, temperature, safety conditions, hazards, slide conditions and other related items, and to act as an emergency aid as necessary, exhibits a professional life guard appearance and attitude at all times. Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Employee is required to work as a team and frequently meet with co-workers and supervisors; employee is required to communicate in-person with the public during office hours; and employee is required to use on-site equipment.
Safeguards and regulates the conduct of patrons to prevent accidents; is alert to note possible patrons in distress and avoids unnecessary conversations with the public or other actions which will distract them from their duties; strictly and tactfully enforces policies, rules, regulations, laws and other ordinances governing pool conduct; effects rescues; performs appropriate follow-up procedures including the use of any available equipment in the performance of first aid; participates in the maintenance and preparation of daily records relating to rescues, assists, first aid, weather conditions and sanitation as may be required.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be a Certified Red Cross Lifeguard or pass a Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Training program after the initial interview. (Employee reimbursement for Lifeguard Certification Training available after 90 days from date of hire).
Criminal History Check: Successful applicant must pass background check.
Driver License Report (MVR): Driver License Report (MVR) will be obtained by the Human Resources Division if applicable.
